Dear journalists,

The 18th CPC National Congress will be convened in Beijing in November, 2012. Foreign journalists are welcome to register with the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) from October 9 to November 2, 2012 to cover the event. Details for application are as follows:

1. All foreign journalists accredited in China and Chinese employees working for permanent offices of foreign media organizations in China are kindly requested to register at the application system (http://www.cpcnews.cn/reg/index.html) in Chinese or English. Browsers based on IE kernel are recommended to visit the system.

2. Besides registering online, resident journalists please confirm journalists' information with the Information Department of MFA by fax. Letters signed by heads of the foreign media organizations based in China need to be provided. Foreign journalists on temporary assignments in China please register with the Information Department of MFA via local Chinese embassies, consulates or the Commissioners' Office of the MFA of the PRC in Hong Kong SAR or Macau SAR, by presenting their CV and application letters provided by the relevant media organizations. Chinese employees working for permanent offices of foreign media based in China please confirm their information with the Information Department of MFA with the application letters issued by the relevant media organizations together with copies of their Chinese Employee Cards.

3. The schedule of the CPC National Congress and means for collecting accreditation badges will be released later.
